Regarding your third query, could you please clarify what specific amenities or services you’re referring to with “this price”?

Certainly! The package includes four meals of homely cooked non-spicy food, accommodation, a bonfire experience, access to available mineral water, a Nilkuthi night trail, a Fireflies Trail adventure, and the opportunity for skywatching with a telescope. The regular tent rate is ₹1300 per person per day, while the regular room rate is ₹1400 per person per day.

Nestled amidst the serene beauty of Mangalgunj, a quaint village located 100 kilometers from Kolkata, the campsite is enveloped by the tranquil Ichamoti River, the lush Parmadan Forest, and the historic Nilkuthi. Here, amidst the greenery, the melody of chirping birds, the gentle forest breeze, and the soothing murmur of the Ichamoti River create an unparalleled connection to nature. Mangalgunj is also renowned for its ancient Rajbari, once the majestic residence of Maharaja Mangalchandra, now a captivating relic known as ‘Kata Saheber Kuthi’, with a rich tapestry of history woven within its walls.

During the British rule, it served as a ‘Nilkuthi’, bearing witness to the harrowing cruelties inflicted by the British to coerce locals into cultivating solely indigo, the blue dye. It stood as a silent witness to the struggles endured during the Swadeshi movement, where the walls echoed the stories of countless freedom fighters, their lives and sacrifices etched into its very essence. Yet, beyond its historical scars, this place holds even deeper tales waiting to be discovered.
